Donations
The Friends are pleased to accept new and gently used books. Donations are either added to the library collection or sold by the Friends to raise funds for library needs. If the books are used by the library they will replace current collection items in poor condition or be used to enhance collection development. The Friends will use them either to stock the Friends Again bookstore or to sell at the biannual book sales.
Types of Materials Accepted
Gently used adult and children's hardback and paperback books, magazines, CDs, DVDs, LPs, VHS and cassette tapes are accepted. We especially need large print books, classics, westerns, and children's materials.
Monetary donations are also accepted by both the library and the Friends. You can also donate your time as a volunteer. To learn more about volunteering with the Friends, use the contact form on the website. To become a member of the Friends, visit the Membership page.
How to Donate
Donations are accepted during library business hours and may be dropped off at the Circulation counter inside the library. Please see library staff if you have a large donation that requires unloading assistance.
The library can provide you with a gift form acknowledging your donation. This form can be used for tax purposes, but the library cannot assign a monetary value to your book donation.
If you have any further questions, the Friends may be contacted by e-mail or by using the contact form on our website.
